madmax X hair recycling collection This A-line mini dress is a perfect choice for festivals or beach days: lightweight, breezy, simple—yet rich in detail. It can be worn as a top or as a beach cover-up over a swimsuit, but it also works great on its own with a pair of cool Wesco or biker boots at dusty, hot concerts.
The original top belonged to the designer of the Rat Medium brand. It later became part of the 30Y band’s recycling merch collection. I added the patchwork sections afterward: they are made from other leftover pieces of 30Y merch, vintage lace, and fabrics used in theater productions. But the parts closest to my heart are the powder-colored velvets—remnants from the puppet theater adaptation of Zoltán Czigány’s epic fairytale Csoda és Kósza ("Wonder and Rascal"). I guarded them carefully for years.
Whoever wears this piece receives a little essence of 30Y, a touch of the meticulous craftsmanship of bygone eras, and even a piece of the magical horse Csodaló’s “skin.” Decorated with vintage buttons.
I recommend it especially to someone who would like to continue the story—by adding more little patches over the years, letting this dress become a truly bohemian memory-keeper.
