madmax X hair recycling collection This upcycled skirt is a piece of storytelling stitched into fabric, with every fold holding the glow of stage lights and the whispers of past roles. Its base is an underskirt that has “seen” many theatrical performances, later layered with soft white tulle – like a delicate cloud – bringing lightness and a dreamlike float to the piece. From Shakespeare’s As You Like It comes the vintage garter belt, paired with a richly patterned vintage curtain rescued from the Jajcica heritage, adding yet another layer, as if woven through with sunlight filtering from the windows of an old château.
The result is a fluffy, airy romantic dream skirt, filled with tiny, hidden details waiting to be discovered. Part of the Angel Skirt series, which began in the 30y recycling merch collection, this is the seventh creation and currently the only one available – a one-of-a-kind wonder captured in cloth.
